I can't seem to consistently reproduce this behavior, but as soon as I can get it to happen once, the VM fails to boot from this point on. After that, I am getting a boot failure message on a black screen (see attached MacOSXServerBootFailure.png). ![]() Two seconds later, the screen shows the Apple logo. Click the gigantic start button in the center of the window.Īfter this, I can see a screen with VMware logo on a white background, with a progress bar at the bottom. After this, the virtual machine window shows up.ģ. In the main menu, choose "File", "Open Recent", "Mac OS X Server 10.5". Launch /Applications/VMware Fusion.app".Ģ. Recently, I have seen the VM failing to boot. I first updated it to Mac OS X 10.5.2, and then install the VMware Tools bundled with the Fusion software. I created a Mac OS X Server 10.5 VM with Fusion 3.1.0. After upgrading to VMware Fusion 3.1.0 (261058), I have been doing experiments, using Mac OS X Server virtual machines to do various things.
